To raise public interest on Hong Kong’s Maritime history from the city’s first lighthouse to typhoon activities using 3D-modelled reconstruction, Virtual Reality simulation and old documents.

燈塔古蹟研習實踐項目是由香港城市大學來自不同專業學系的同學們，以跨學科的視角。投入文物史料的探索研究，進行古蹟的實地調查研究。今年的海運周，同學們將展示他們的研究成果與發現，並向來訪者介紹香港燈塔與海事發展的昔與今。

About Lighthouse Heritage Research Connections
Lighthouse Heritage Research Connections is an interdisciplinary programme allowing students from different academic backgrounds at City University of Hong Kong to work together on maritime history and lighthouse heritage. Investigative practices from studying historical records and carrying out field investigations on-site creates a knowledge practice opportunity for participants. During this year’s ‘Maritime Awareness Week’, participants will showcase their research findings and introduce visitors to the past and present of Hong Kong's lighthouse and maritime development.
